Testimonials... but from the animals themselves
When I start a conversation with an animal, I always ask first: “Are you open to a conversation with me?” and “Do you want to tell me something first?”
What follows is special every time. This is what they tell you – as true 'experts by experience' – when we open the conversation:
"Hi! Yes, of course. I find it exciting, but I notice it's also nice."
Curious
Hello there! Absolutely. I was really looking forward to it. There is a lot going on inside my head and body.
Sensitive
“Hello! Of course I want to. Great! I already knew you would be checking in with me. It’s nice that you’re here. May I tell you something right away?”
Spontaneously
Hello there. I think so.
"Where do you know me from?" *My explanation follows* "Oh okay, well I think that's fine."
Alert
How nice that you listen to me and that my owner gets to know this now too...
Grateful
“Oh, I really want to tell you!”
Enthusiastic
Hello! Absolutely, I find that very nice and enjoyable. I really love connecting with people. Not everyone notices me, but that's okay. Making contact with others makes me very happy, even when I don't get anything back. I do get it back from my people... so I'm not missing out on anything.
Chatterbox
At the end of the conversation, I ask – if it feels right – if they would like to add anything themselves. I get the most wonderful reactions to that as well.
Thank you! Yes, when you ask me something, I give 100%. They know that at home too.
Dedicated
Thank you, Sietske. I really appreciated this! So many people are thinking of me, so that helps me too. I
I want to ask her to keep doing that for me!
Lovingly
Towards the person of this animal:
A huge thank you for everything you have done for every dog! Without you, we would have been lost.
Involved
I am very happy that I was able to say what I wanted. I am a happy horse!
Satisfied
I was glad to be heard.
Understood
Thank you! It's nice that you were there for me.
appreciative
"Well, I want to thank everyone so much! Because people really look out for me, I feel that everyone has my best interests at heart... and that feels really nice. I am seen, and that is what every animal wants. To be seen, because we deserve that too."
